Questions regarding our merchandise:

  1. Do I have to assemble the furniture by myself?

    Almost all our furniture comes as a complete set made of solid wood: mortised and juncture glued. The merchandise is almost completely assembled. A typical vanity will be delivered as follows:

    • a package containing the complete base-unit
    • a package containing the washbasin
    • the marble is packaged separately
    • the mirror and cabinets are packaged separately

    You will have to affix all hanging parts (mirror, cabinets) to your wall by yourself. The base-unit itself is completely assembled. The marble top has simply to be placed directly on top of the vanity. Since we offer high-quality goods the top will stay in place simply because of its own weight - this is all that is needed. You see that our merchandise is of excellent quality: the wooden base has to be able to take the weight of the marble-top which itself is quite heavy. You get good value for your money.



  2. Do you offer customized furniture (different dimensions, different parts)?

    Our mirrors can be tailored to your specifications against an extra charge (usually 30% of standard price). Most tops can be delivered in different coloured marbles (e.g. Royal Yellow, Guatemala Green, Portuguese Pink) against a surcharge. The furniture itself is produced to fit the dimensions stated in our web catalogue and cannot be customized. However, you should take a look at the different parts making up our furniture. Some of these parts can be interchanged and combined.



  3. I do not like the mirror (or any other part) - can I just buy some part of the vanity?

    If you don't like the mirror, the marble-top, the wall-mount cabinets or any other seperate piece of the vanity just drop us a line. We will give you a quotation for those parts you want to buy. There are no surcharges for ordering parts of our vanities.


  4. I want the cabinet on the (left-/right-) side! Is this possible?

    Most of our cabinets can be obtained so that they will fit either right or left, without surcharge. But you need to tell us when you place your order.



  5. What kind of wood do you use in the crafting of your furniture?

    Most of our furniture is made of solid walnut. Some vanities are made of solid cherry-wood, some from solid ash-wood and others are made from solid tulipier wood. Tulipier wood, being lighter than walnut, is not only used to build furniture but to build musical instruments, too. Pieces made of tulipier wood are lacquered, varnished, stained or otherwise coated.



  6. What does "base in solid wood" really mean?

    "Base in solid wood" simply means that the furniture is made of solid walnut, cherry or tulipier wood. It means above all that the furniture is not made of coated pressboard.



  7. Can I obtain accessories matching the different lines of furniture?

    Yes. We can offer matching accessories for almost every line of goods. We offer shelves, cupboards, glass-cabinets, tumblers and soap dishes, towel-rails and toilet-seats and much more.



  8. Italian furniture - what quality can I expect?

    Our furniture is of superb quality and design in the best Italian tradition. The quality is at least as good as similar priced furniture made in Germany or England, but usually we are less expensive.



  9. Is it possible to obtain a different kind of marble?

    Generally it is possible to customize the marble tops against an extra charge. Yellow, red, pink, green and even blue marbles are available - almost everything is possible. Caveat emptor: coloured marbles are as costly as they are beautiful. You will have to expect a extra charges between 30% (Travertino stuccato, Blu Lazio, Verde Liguria) and 60% (Rosa Portogallo, Giallo Atlantide, Rosa Tramonto, Travertino Resinato, Ankara Venato).



  10. Can the plumber start his work immediately?

    Yes, your plumber can start his work immediately. The marble comes complete with holes for the fixtures. When ordering you have to tell us whether you need 1- or 3-holes for the fixtures.



  11. Can I use standard fixtures? Can I use 1-hole fixtures? Can I use 3-hole fixtures?

    Yes, yes and yes. All holes come in sizes that are standardised in the European Union. When ordering you have to tell us whether you need 1- or 3-holes for the fixtures. If you do not tell us, you will get the number of holes shown in the pictures.



  12. How do I clean the washstands? Do we need to follow special instructions to care and maintain the bathroom furniture?

    You should clean the washstands just like every other piece of high-quality furniture - just do not use any aggressive cleaning agents. If necessary you will receive special cleaning instructions with the washstand and you may always ask our driver, who will be glad to answer all your questions regarding your new piece of furniture.

  1. How long will it take for the goods to be delivered?

    Delivery times depend on your country and the kind of product you buy. As a rule: the more special the product, the longer it takes to manufacture. Delivery times for Germany and Austria are given in the respective product's description. For other countries delivery may take longer. Delivery time begins with the moment your down payment has been credited to our account. We need this time to coordinate our deliveries from Italy throughout Europe. This way we can deliver to Germany, Austria, France and the Netherlands for this extremely low price, or, if the invoiced value of goods exceeds 1000.00 €, completely free of charge.



  2. What do you charge for transportation?

  3. How is my order being processed ?

    After having placed your order you will receive a mail confirming the details of the order. In this mail you will receive all neccessary information to pay the required down payment (40% of total invoiced value of goods). After your down payment has been credited to our account we will deliver your goods within three to four weeks. The remainder (60% of total invoiced value of goods) has to be paid in cash on delivery.



  4. Delivery takes too long. What is the reason?

    In case of special requests or customized parts (e.g. special colored marbles, mirrors or vanities customized to fit your special needs) delays cannot alway be avoided. We are totally dependent on our suppliers, so there is little we can do to speed things up. Please note that most of our suppliers close shop between Chistmas and the "day of the three magi" and during summer vacation. It is impossible to deliver any goods during these weeks. If it is probable that your order will be affected by these events, we will send you a mail in advance.



  5. Do the prices include VAT?

    Yes - our prices do include German VAT (currently 19% of total invoiced value).



  6. Is it possible to check the goods for damages before I pay ?

    Of course you may check the goods for damages. Please note that removing packaging will take some time, which we will be glad to spend.
